Fraternity is brotherhood. A fraternity is a brotherhold. Politically, the notion of fraternity is that we are all brothers (and sisters). Nationally, this is to say that we are all equally citizens and must look out for each. Universally, this is to argue for the existence of humanity and to advocate for the practice of humanity towards one another. The notions of equality, fraternity and solidarity are bound up tightly with one another.
