Baron Cazimir Latos is a character from I, Strahd: The War Against Azalin and appears in Strahd's in-character narrative therein. He was the husband of Zorah, Baroness Latos. He ruled an estate near Mount Ghakis. Baron Latos fancied himself a scholar, but, according to Strahd, was man to overestimate the worth of his family's poorly copied books of magic. Strahd describes him as adept in tending to his vineyards but mediocre and undistinguished in his rule and even as a fool in other matters. Strahd regards Cazimir's best accomplishment in his life was marrying Baroness Zorah, whom Strahd attributed much of their territory's success to.

According to Strahd's recollection, Baron Latos was visted by Azalin in 542 BC upon the lichs arrival in Barovia. When Azalin heard of Baron Latos' magical books, the lich stole one and threw the others into the fire. Panicked, Baron Latos attempted to rescue them before he was afflicted with a spell that hit him with amnesia related to the experience. Baroness Zorah wrote to Strahd for help, and upon his arrival, removed the amnesia from Latos' mind. Strahd told Barons Latos to burn the rest of his magical books and tell any other outlanders that he'd given them to Strahd.
