Barmalai

Spoken of in hushed tones across the Demiplane of Dread like some bogeyman, Barmalai is said to be a giant demon who eats children. He knocks on the roof at night, demanding to take a child and takes them all unless he is appeased. Although seeming to be entirely malicious, Barmalai is a creature of good intent following a scrupulous code of conduct, for he does not eat the children, but rather delivers them to worlds outside the Demiplane to be raised in peace.
