The Avergnites are a human people from the Duchy of Avergne, possibly belonging to the Kingdom of Mourette. Their land was attacked by the County of Staunton. Ultimately, they managed to invade, conqueror, and occupy said county. Before the Avergnites could annex the County of Staunton, they and it were seized by the Mists. The result was the birth of the domain of Staunton Bluffs with the Avergnites as its news citizens. They enjoy immunity from attack by the darklord of the land, Sir Torrence Bleysmith, who betrayed his brother and his land to the Avergnites.
