Althea's labyrinth

Sitting at the center of the island of Demise, there exists a mysterious labyrinth constructed of a very hard, white stone. The structure's architecture appears to be of Classical era construction, but its creators and indeed where it came from are entirely a mystery. The interior of the labyrinth is filled with confusing hallways and indeed illusions that boggle the mind. (It was easier for Captain Johan Werner to escape blind than it was with his sight intact.) Althea, a medusa and darklord of Demise, creeps about, killing any intruders unfortunate enough to venture inside, save for those she chooses to spare. Yet the confusing illusions of the labyrinth keep her trapped inside, unable to escape.
