Sorry I was in a strange head space when I posted this.
I had a lore idea a ancient legend of how the day of the dead came to be. And why wrestlers ware masks.

Some ideas
Cursed conqestadors struggling in the jungle immune to death but not pain, disease, fatigue or hunger.

One man is stuck in a time loop of the prophesies end of the world.

Were-jaguars
The mantel of the Lu chador is more than passing on the mask, the spirit all who wore it are within. Not all legacies are good, a number of bloody masked that turn those who don them in to monsters.
A priest must make a human sacrifice so the sun will rise tomorrow. Every night horrors attack in the dark.

I’ve read once or twice about a mine in Peru. It’s at least a few hundred years old. Inside there’s a shrine to a being. He’s not a good being, and the miners offer it food, liquor, and cigarettes in hopes of keeping him from causing cave ins, falls, and other hazards. I always thought this had potential without being cliche, but it will probably take a better person than me to pull it together.

Just yesterday I saw a meme that fit that. An ever-escalating curse of misery, and double-immortality spell. So that the victim would live every day in worse misfortune than the previous day, unable to die, longing for the release of death that was never coming, until one day it would come only for the target to return from the dead knowing his misery will continue AND the next day would be even worse than that feeling of despair at the moment he is brought back to continue suffering.

I may have read the idea somewhere but I add my own spin on it. I am glad you all like it.

In Bolivia iirc there is a tradition of female wrestlers who wear traditional dresses and bowler hats in the ring.

As a newbie on the boards I can't speak to Dread Domains, but as far as Aztec seeds... I highly recommend David Schwartz's Aztec Mythos series in the back of Dragon magazines and concluded on the Paizo message boards.
