Norzak eyes the newcomer up and down with a practiced eye. "So. Ye be invited by lil missy's da I gather? I'd like ta know. Can ye hold yer alchohol? 'N' What are ye good for asides bein' invited to some fancy shindigs, in life? Ye got any talents?" Norzak swigs his ale and belches rather loudly, then wipes his mouth on his arm and looks at Alain curiously.

"I assure you it is quite the contrary." Bennedict smiles a wry smile. "However, my associate Norzak and I did assist Herr Sancerre in some unpleasantness recently wherein a criminal attempted to abduct his daughter. My dwarven friend here was instrumental in her safe return."Lord Skybolt wrote:My friend, did I say you were such a person of course not . You must have a very good rep. to be invited to such party of this honorable company.
With that, he looks around the room, trying to spot Denys waiting somewhere in the wings. There are important matters to discuss, things which he will be very keen on learning first-hand.
"If you will excuse us," he continues, "I have a matter I would like to discuss with Herr Norzak in private." Bennedict begins to step away from the information broker, heading towards the other side of the room and waiting for the dwarf to follow.

Upon entering the room, Dorgio gives Evie a crooked grin. "Wonderful to see you again, leányka!" He holds out the jar. "Is palinka. Not as pretty as I would hope, no, but a wonderful digestif. Or apertif. Or well, whatever your habits!"
He decides it's time to shut up, and places the jar wherever he can find a spot on the table.
The befuddled cleric sticks his hand out to the newcomer. "Dorgio Varga, of the Morninglord."
His eyes dart briefly to Benn and Norzak, but he doesn't interrupt them. If it's his business, they'll let him know.

Evangeline greets everyone with a smile and a friendly word.
''Benn, Norzak! Ah, I'm so happy you are here.''
She seems pleased by Dorgio's gift, even pausing in her playing to take a look at the jug.
''So nice of you to bring the appertif, Dorgio. ''

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Bennedict also lowers his voice. "I am more and more interested in this idea of a gateway of some kind in the sewers beneath the city. I've done some independent research into the matter, and have found numerous references to it in various historical texts, as well as amongst the members of the Confraternity of Ratcatchers, enough to make me wonder if such a gateway could actually exist. I wonder if, during the telling of this tale, someone may have mentioned to you a means of actually finding this place?" Bennedict's eyes sparkle with an almost feverish enthusiasm. "Mein gott, Norzak, do you realize what this could mean? the archaeological significance of such a find if we could discover it?"
"Ye been readin' up on tha door I dreamed about, then?Hmmm." Norzak actually appears to think about that for a moment before saying "What in tarnation is the Fra-er -ternity of Ratcatchers?? They catch rats in the sewers?"Adam wrote:Bennedict also lowers his voice. "I am more and more interested in this idea of a gateway of some kind in the sewers beneath the city. "I kin try ta remember where I was told it was in tha sewers. If me memory serves me right I bin tole it's in the sewers. I dun' know bout no archaeological signifigance cuz ye might 'o; guessed I's no lerned man" Norzak isn't embarassed by that. He just throws that in "Well if ye're excited about this here door, maybe we should have a looksee in the morning? Think we shoul bring that Dorgio fella?" Norzak looks over at Dorgio then back to Benn. "Elf ain't here 'n' we might need some help down there." He looks over at the newcomer Alain studying him with a practiced eye. ""Ey Benn, ye know this fella Alain who's some newcomer here? I spoke to him a little. I don't think he can be that bad if he didn't cringe at me belchin' in his face. He's also calm and I like his style. Wanna get us four together 'n' talk a lil?" Norzak stops talking before adding "Hey I saw lil Anja again today! She's doin' good and Sancerre did good by her parents. They got better jobs now. Mebbe they kin get a home 'o' their own."I wonder if, during the telling of this tale, someone may have mentioned to you a means of actually finding this place?" Bennedict's eyes sparkle with an almost feverish enthusiasm. "Mein gott, Norzak, do you realize what this could mean? the archaeological significance of such a find if we could discover it?"
"That is good to hear. Our benefactor has proven very generous thus far." He ponders the newcomer. "I don't know. He seems competent enough. Plays things close to the vest, though. Perhaps it is simply our last incident with Malreux, but I'm finding it difficult to trust outsiders." He shakes his head, as if to dismiss the thought. "In any case, I wouldn't want to aimlessly wander through the tunnels if no one knows where the gate might be. I'll continue to look into the matter, however, and let you know once I've come up with something a bit more concrete."

"Furyondy, eh?" He proncounces the name quite deliberately, and gives Alain a quizzical glance. "Can't say I know it. Near Dementlieu, perhaps?"
"Well," he continues, moving towards the jar of liquor. "Now that formalities are out of the way, shall we amuse ourselves until the rest of our hosts have arrived?" He cracks open the jar. "Benn, you're going to have to tell me how you managed a dance with that lovely creature at the ball."
Turning to Norzak, he says, "I think I saw you in our part of the city the other day. Anja's kin...speak highly of you," he concedes.

Norzak looks at Dorgio. "Twern't nuthin' I kin assure ye. The girl deserves better 'n that. Just glad to be of service ta her. Plus she seems ta enjoy the dwarvish fruitcake a lil' too much if ye get me meanin'! Ah lil' ones.." Norzak did remember Dorgio bringing in what looked like some type of liquid and asks "Hey bub, what's that there ye brought? Can ye drink it? 'N' more importantly, is it alchohol?"
