D20, Prestige Classes, and Templates... oh my!

Hi All,

With all the talk on the general forum about which edition is better, I wanted to start a little thread about what one would need to learn all the new 3rd edtion rules (my background is 2nd edition). For instance, should I buy DMG II, or will the Ravenloft DMG give me all the info I need to start playing? Same goes for the player handbooks? The reason I'm asking is that I'm gonna be having some spending money and thought it was about time to convert.

You'll need the Dungeon Master's Guide and Player's Handbook. The first ones, not the second ones.

And I think getting the 3E Ravenloft PHB should be a higher priority than the Ravenloft DMG.
