Renad looks around one more time.
"Ok, Elvira. You can eat as long as we wait the others. I have something serious to say to all of you."
"I'll leave Mr Renad, I cannot wait. My mother might need me, you know these days... these days are difficult for us." Says Peter.
"Ok Peter, I'll talk to my friends. I remember your house so if we need something I can come and ask you. My friend Thalar will help us very much."
Peter leaves and then Renad turns to the others and speaks in low voice.
"Order now as much as you can eat Elvira because I doubt you will have appettite after my story." Says Renad always keeping his worried face.
The trip to Shadowdale
Inovidil briefs the others about their day, but when he started talking about Narzok, Renad interrupts her.
"Ah, dwarves, they are capable to do amazing weapons and armors if they want."

"I know Inovidil, this time of the day there are many people around eating so there is much noise. I can hardly listen you. Elvira, have you finally done with your food?"
"Relax Renad, we are here only ten minutes, We haev been practicing all day, we are tired. What wrong with you." Says Kel.
"Oh nothing, I think that is an excellent day for a walk that's all. When you will finish I'll show you a beatiful place to relax it's not far away from here. Hoew was your day Brfethana you have trained with Thalar and Kel right?" Says Renad trying to be natural.

"Er I'm done eating Renad"Elvira frowns then grasps that Renad is not comfortable inside and wishes to talk with them "alone".
"I did fine Renad, thank you. Well I agree with you, it is a nice day to stay inside. The outdoors is always a welcome thing to me. And you want to show us a nice place? Then why don't we go guys?" Brethana misses Renad's urgency but her easy way seems to calm him a little.
"Ok Renad we're ready to go. A walk thru the city seems in order then.Let's go indeed" Thalar says as they leave the Inn and follow where Renad wants them to go.

The party goes out of the inn and Renad leads them to a place near the forest. Then sits down and says:
“Please excuse my behavior at the inn guys, but unfortunately I was afraid that someone could here us talking. Unfortunately this town has to do with something or someone that can probably control the minds. Remember the boy I was talking, Peter, his father has been killed last night. He has noticed that one of his neighbors, Carlos, had a strange behavior lately. So he decided talk to him a few days ago. Carlos denied everything and says that Robert, Peter’s father, was mistaken. But yesterday Carlos came to Robert’s house and tried to make him go out during the night. He was trying so hard to persuade him that Robert get frightened and threatened him that he would call the guards if he wouldn’t leave. Carlos tried to make him change his mind saying that he was only joking, Robert didn’t believe him though. But when he turned his back and headed to the door, Carlos backstabbed him. Peter was awake from the voices and run downstairs, he saw Carlos leaving from the window in great hurry. No one has seen him today. I hope you Thalar can help him.”
“Oh no, poor boy. I cannot imagine how he will feel. Unfortunately Renad I have an idea of who is responsible for this tragedy and I bet for all these disappearances.” Says Inovidil and tells to them what Norzak has said to them earlier.
“Ah yes, Norzak, I have heard this name too. I wanted to go visit him too, but I didn’t have time. You have done great job Elvira with your gathering information. I agree with you Inovidil, it seems a vampire is around and since it cannot enter in houses he has dominated some people and ordered them to persuade others go out. Carlos was dominated, he had no chance. The vampire has killed the priests first so no one can go after him. We should do something about it.” Says Renad.

What I do know is they only come out at night. Sunlight can kill them, garlic too is the rumor. I dont know much. That poor boy, we should try to find this Carlos maybe search his home? That might be a good place to start,right?" Brethana sits back still thinking.
"Yes I'll help him Renad. You don't even need to ask me. So Brethana has a good idea to search this Carlos home. Maybe we can also "bait" Carlos as he might try to get Peter some night soon. We can maybe catch him at Peter's home. Good work girls you did well today" Thalar smiles at the girls "I hope you stayed out of trouble though" he winks at them.
Elvira grins as she pulls a bottle out of her pouch and hands it to Brethana, giggling "Oh we bought this for you, my dear. You'll see it smells real nice."She looks at Inovidil then giggles some more "I'm sure you'll enjoy it"she says, then stops talking trying no to laugh.
"Er thank you for the bottle, I'll try it some time soon" Brethana says as she turns the bottle over in her hands, unsure of what to do with it.
"Renad do you think Peter can tell us where this Carlos lives?Maybe we can go now and search the place".

"I do know Carlos house too. As I was walking at the town this morning, I have met Peter. He seemed very sad and I asked him why, he said me the whole story. Then we went to his house, I have spoken with his mother too. Poor woman she is still shocked. Peter is living at the west part of the town, as we heading to the inn in order to find you, Peter shows me Carlos house. I doubt Carlos will be at his place or at Peter's house though, another neighbor might see him. The story of Robert's assassination is a big thing, everybody knows it. I believe we should go to Peter's house and there Thalar can try to track him down." Says Renad.
"We should also pay attention to not attract the attention to ourselves too. The vampire might have dominated more people, we should trust nobody. My father has said to me they do that with their gaze. We should do something to protect us from that too." Says Inovidil.

"Ok let us go to Peter's house. I'll start tracking from there. I still think we should look at carlos's home, we may find a clue inside. Renad I do not know how long your spell may last, but maybe you should wait till we need it? Just a thought." Thalar smiles. "So Renad why don't we go to Peter's home then?"
"Thalar yes we should go but I still want to check out Carlos's home. You never know what we may find. Maybe I can help you tarck a little, you did show me some tracking."Brethana smiles than starts to get up, hoping they would go to Peter's home.
Maybe we will find some action! I do enjoy learning and practicing but there is nothing like the thrill of battle and enemies.

After 30 min the party arrives at Peter's house. It's an old stone made house with a small yard. The house has two windows that face at the yard and another window which faces the street behind the house.
"I guess Carlos escaped from the window at the back. I doubt he wanted to be seen from the other neighbors." Says Kel.
"I have the same opinion Kel." says Renad and gently knocks the door.
"Who is it?" Asks a woman's voice from inside.
"I'm Renad, the priest who has come to your house earlier. I have my friends with me, they will help you as well."
"Oh, come in please." Says a middle-aged woman as she opens the door.
The party step inside and look around. The house has only two rooms, a living room and a kitchen at tthe main floor. There is also a ladder which leads upstairs where are the bedroom. The woman lead the party to the living room. The furniture are old, clear sign that the family is not a wealthy one. The atmosphere inside is heavy and a bit gloomy.
Inovidil shivers as she looks around.
"I'm terrible sorry for your husband madam, our friend Renad tells us what has happened. We are adventures too and we want to help you as better as we can." Says Inovidil.
"Lathander bless all of you for your kindess. I don't know how you can help me though, Robert is gone and... and the monster who has done all this is still outside. Mr Renad explained me that Carlos was not himself when he..." The woman's voice breaks as she speaks and tears come to her eys. "He did that to my Robert. I don't know if I want revenge, I want only that someone stop this monster of doing that to someone else."
"I have told you Ms Lilly, my friend here is a ranger he will try to follow Carlos. We hope that he will lead us to whom is responsible for this." Says Renad and points Thalar.

"I'll go outside to the window and start there,guys. Maybe 2 of you can go to Carlos place and look for clues inside?Although Elvira might be able to get us in but when it is not so light out. We won't get seen this way.I'll be right back". Thalar goes outside.
"Don't worry Mrs Lilly we'll do what we can to stop this monster from hurting anyone else."Elvira stomach grumbles loudly "Oh pardon me I must be hungry again guys" she giggles. "Hope we eat soon".
Brethana says to Elvira "Why don't we go to Carlos place and look around? MAybe we find something there?If just we 2 go it wont look so suspicious.Coming?" Brethana nods to the others and she and Elvira leave.
Thalar looks around outside near the window. He does see a piece of ripped clothing on the window sill. Peering closer, he sees several footprints. Checjing their directions, one set is heading the direction he suspects they might,out of the city. HE heads back inside. Seeing the girls leave he realises they going to Carlos home "Be careful girls". He heads back inside.
"Well there are a lot of footprints heading in all directions but hte ones I am interested in were heavier than the others and most importantly they head out of the city. We wait for the girls here, then we go investigate the tracks" Thalar leans against the wall and waits for the girls.
Brethana and Elvira arrive at Carlos home. Looking around to make sure noone is watching, Elvira approaches the back door. She removes a lockpick tool and gets the door open. Listening inside she hears nothing, so nodding to Brethana, she enters. Peering into the gloom she sees noone and the place looks really dusty, no footrprints in the accumulated dust on the floor. "Brethana it doesnt look like anyone been here for a while" The girls search but find nothing as the place looks deserted. As they go for the door, they hear footsteps approaching the door. Elvira nods to Brethana ans she gets to one side of the door, Brethana the other.
Brethana takes a chair and waits.
A man enters and as he steps past the doorway, Brethana hits him on the head with the chair, knocking him out. "I hope this is Carlos, Elvira,but then again it could be someone working for that monster. Looking around they find a blanket. Elvira gets a rope from her pack and ties him up, then gags him. Wrapping him in the blanket, Brethana tosses the unconcious man over her shoulder. "Let's hurry. Im glad Peter's house is not far because we look funny here" Brethana giggles.
As fast as they can, after closing the door, they keep to alleyways and make it back to Peter's home. Knocking then enterring, after Thalar lets them in looking quizically at the blanket.
"Look what we found, guys. He came into the house while we were there, so I am hoping this is indeed Carlos. Peter?"Elvira says.

Kel unwraps the blanket. In front of them is lying a man at his early 40s, with black hair, little blood is getting from his head where Brethana hits him with the chair. Tha man wears a brist plate and has a long sword at his hip.
"This is not Carlos, this is a guard. His name is Philip. You have gotten the wrong man." Says Peter.
"I wonder what he was doing in Carlos house." Says Inovidil.
"We will ask him." Says Kel as gets the man's sword. Then, he shakes the man in order to get his senses again,
"What...where am I? Who are you?" Says Philip and gets his head.
"Where is my sword? Who are you people? Ms Lilly, Peter, are you ok?"

"Things don't look good for you, Philip. I'd tell the truth if I was you because you wouldn't like my friend here when she gets mad" Elvira says to Philoip as she points to Brethana. Her stomach grumbles again "And you are making me miss my snack! So tell us what you know!".....

Brethana shrugs at the man, and speaks in elven "Do we trust him or not? I am not sure about him, what you guys think?"
"It was her who hit you from behind but we thought you were Carlos, sorry about that. Peter told us where he lives and we wanted to check it out. We are adventurer's and want to help with this situation. We want no trouble with you. Mistakes happen, you might have done the same thing as we did if you were in our place."Elvira smiles at the man.
