Tim Burton's Corpse Bride - I can't wait to see this.

Pretty cool! It is too bad that we'll have to wait until October before this is released, but the movie looks well worth the wait.

Heard about this a few days ago. Certainly interesting. Burton and Depp work well together.

There will surely be cameos, as in James and the Giant Peach.

I like Burton's animated work.

Interesting fact about Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: Marylin Manson was going to play Willy Wonka, but his schedule conflicted and he couldn't.

Just picked this up on DVD. Sad and whimsically horrific, and a damned fine story to loot for Ravenloft usage.

Five of five blood drops, enthusiastically so.

Agree whole-heartedly - great movie! I really liked the ending, though I know others who didn't care for it much.

I liked the movie, though the songs were definitly subpar. I don't know what was happening with Elfman, but the musical numbers were often clunky and seemed forced.

Agreed, but I'm still thankful whenever the composer is not Randy Newman.

My only complaint about the ending was that it feels rushed, like they decided to turn a ten minute sequence into a ten second one (somewhat exaggerating). Otherwise, it's an excellent movie.
Pinky! Are you pondering what I'm pondering?

I think so, Brain, but didn't we give up ritual murder for Lent?

Unfortunately, story pacing (heck, story depth) has never been Burton's strong point. I loved the visuals of the film but got the impression that after the conception of the two show-stopper sequences (Emily's resurrection and the big musical number in the bar) the rest of the film was rather loosely blocked in around them.

My little 3-year-old niece loves the heck out of the film though (and Nightmare Before Christmas too)....

I agree with you whole-heartedly, Reggie. I loved the movie, but the ending just ended too quickly for my tastes. Don't get me wrong, though. I did like how the movie ended, but it just seemed like Burton got near the end of the movie and his time/budget ran out... :?
