The situation at the beginning of 2nd round:
Vorj is wounded. Two ghouls are running. A very wounded ghoul has engaged Vorj. Van is behind Burdur. Pugsley is over Vorj. Esthenor is blinded permanently and still paralyzed as a ghoul starts eating him alive.

Nope, I'm afraid it's not. Oh, and Burdur's turn didn't seem to affect Thorn inside Kimber.

Can Van attack or he is too far away? He will go back if needed to assist Vorj and if possible save Estenhor of being eaten alive.

Nope, he can't attack. Vorj is ahead of him in initiative and is in melee with the ghouls. He could try ranged attacks, but he would do so with disadvantage. And a natural 1 on that roll means he hits Vorj.

Vorj didn't abandon a wounded enemy to be savaged by ghouls despite their differences and the very good chance that if the roles were reversed, Esthenor would see it as a beneficial distraction to have the royalist take up the time of a ghoul feasting on his still living enemy.

You step in front of Vorj to face the last ghoul? You would be face to face with it without support. But if you're paralyzed then Vorj could step in and finish the job...
