I'll count that as a called shot to the head and a hit. Not really random.
Does an otehr point of subdual damage.
And it lets him whisper that message to Barth without anyone else (who isn't a thief or bard using detect noise at the exact right moment--an unlikely thing) hearing.

CHR check to get Barth to consider throwing the fight

He reels about as if stunned by the next blow, and falls over.

First, of course, he falls back for a drink of water.
Letting you do the same.

That's when you guys put in the fix.
You can stagger a bit. Barth swaggers.

The ...
surpirse!
Big man down.

You correctly guessed the trend in betting.

If you uphold your end of the deal, you split it and EACH get;

3d6 follaros worth of food, blankets, trinkets, and actual coinage.

[dice]0[/dice]

Small bets

The guards did not join the Pit pool. Wasn't time to arrange that.

Your standing in the Pit improves.

So that is six follaros for each of you. It isn't all money. Probably some food, a blanket, a few coins, including farthings and Demi-follaros.

You can write this part up, if you like.

He probably would not have risked his bully boy standing, even in this temporary jail situation, except that you rolled what was effectively a critical success on that CHR check.

Good thinking and good luck with the dice.

Of course I keep up my end of the bargain! Why make an enemy for a few copper?
I hope you all realize by now that Fild is chaotic...

Now, how to do it. While attempting to recover and drink some water, Fild hands Tom Barth's share and asks him to pass them to Barth discretely, without causing everyone to realize what happened.

Heh... one lucky roll doesn't mean good luck with the dice. But yeah.

Oh, and the people in the Pit are mostly quite poor, so the pool was very small.
I take it your gnome isn't laying big bets that no one can match, or flashing his cash.

You did try to hide your money before going down here, after all.

But if I red that incorrectly, let me know and we can edit.

That is why it is all in OOC now.

Perfect.

Okay, the plan has worked.

I'm going to reroll Barth's attitude towards the gnome.

He attacks me?

No modifiers from Charisma.
Also, I told you luck was not on our side. :(

Oh, and while we are at it, we can add up XP for first chapter.

Individual by class awards:

Note each thief ability used successfully.
(This only counts if the DM deems the use significant and failure would have carried some kind or risk or posed an obstacle. I might reduce the XP granted if I made the roll easier than normal because it just wasn't so challenging a task.
Multiple uses may or may not count.)

If you are playing a fighter and your guy beat down, subdued, forced, defeated, or just plain killed anybody in a fight, note that. Yes, even if it was in a group combat.
For instance, Van's PC shot a guy in the head and put him into the negatives. That counts. Sniper fu.

If you are playing a thief and your guy swiped or swindled at least a silver piece (equivalent to PHB gold prices, as you recall) during the course of denture out activities, add up how many SP you nabbed.

If you are playing a wizard and you used a spell to solve a problem, note the occasion and purpose of the use, and the level of the spell.

If you are a priest and your guy used any special abilities, like turn undead, note that occasion. If he cast a spell " in ethos" , note that occasion and the level of the spell. If in doubt about ethos, just ask.
In Titus's case, not all healing would necessarily count, but this specific instance of healing a guy to whom a divine omen/augury had directed him DOES count.

Other individual awards:

Beat a foe solo? Note it, and name the foe

There is other stuff, but I will keep that all behind the screen. Group combat awards, story awards, RP awards, etc.
you will each get a PM with XP.

Quite the contrary. I have decided, as with the previous reaction roll made upthread for a different situation, to simply use standard tables in the book.

Lower is actually friendlier in the standard system. So he rolled almost the friendliest possible result!

Barth likes the fiesty, tricky little gnome.

You have made him just enough money to pay off his fine and fees, and get free.

Fild didn't succeed in anything in the first chapter, except convince Aldon.

Most of us are probably geared towards building\joining a criminal syndicate. I hope there's room for that in the adventures.

It was not a complaint or anything. I was just stating that Fild although fun to play and all... didn't take part in the first battle and didn't defeat anyone in the 2nd.
