FYI
Firing into melee

It is risky in 2e. No precise shot feat!

A random die roll, based on number and size of guys in the fray, determines target.
Fild being smaller and fighting just one dude helped. He would be the arrow's target on a 1 or 2 in a D6, under the circumstances we saw there. Robber on 3-6.

I rolled a 1 on the d6.
That unmodified 15 would have hit AC5. And thus hurt Fild.

But Van did a called shot.
So the shot took a -4 penalty, and I ruled that it could only hit Fild if it failed to hit the robber's AC yet succeeded in hitting Fild's AC.
Fild has a better AC, so this would only happen because of situational modifiers.
But it could happen.

Ok I understand no shooting in melee!!!

Tom will remain hidden and ready to shoot till we regroup and is informed that Gertie is inside.

:)

Well, do it when you need to.Emergencies may arise, lik e a baddie straddling a PC, about to stab him with a dagger of venom.
Play your PC as you will. I just want to be clear on the risks, because it is somewhat less forgiving in 2E than 3E.

He could try to shoot shutters.

His arrows are unlikely to do much damage. But if he hits AC 8, I will roll an item save for the shutter/window. Failure= it busts open.

Or do something else entirely.

It's all up to you.

You guys can always kick in doors and rumble.

Whatever you like.

Baddies are doing stuff you cannot see...

Noted, although none of the other PCs are in any way aware of this plan, and should be played as if they do not know her intentions, exact location, or status.

AC 8 because shutters and windows are not in good repair (as noted upthread and in IC) , and are not reinforced.

If I do that will not get Fild right? Otherwise why no, still we regroup there is time. And if breaks the window or the shutters we can see more clearly inside right?

Damien took his action.

Observe, move, inform.

Tom, Fild, and Alfonse may all act.

No risk of hitting Fild, unless ALhoon decides Fild goes jumping up in front of random Windows.

And, yes, busting a window/shutter would let you guys see inside.
