From what I remember, the very few sets that have been sold in recent years have gone for about that much, yes. There have other sets with wildly high asking prices ($300 and up) but I still have to see one of those being sold.

Have 2e supplement prices spiked recently? Or is it just the one I'm looking for? :)

I've been trying to snag Anauroch on the cheap for a while (yes, just for the tiny Ravenloft reference), and for a long time, it was hovering around $10. Being a cheapskate, I was hoping for something around $6. But in the past couple of months I've seen it jump to $40! Whah? Has anyone noticed this happening with other OOP stuff from the same era recently? Is there some reason why this one in particular has been in demand?

Not that i know of, but I'm not really monitoring 1E/2E stuff nowadays anyomore. This sold items search indicates that $6 for the book could be possible. The $40 and $50 auctions seem inflated, and nobody seems to buy for that. There's one for $16 on half.com

That said i do think that 2E stuff is slightly rising in price. The market is probably shrinking and items get more scarce. Also inflation.

What is Anauroch?

Forgotten Realms supplement detailing a large desert area. Not sure what Ravenloft reference is in it though.

There's a small blurb about Gondegal before he came to Ravenloft.
