One of the reasons why I am slightly less active these days than I'd wish to, is that I am opening my own publishing agency - in my free time, and as a hobby, mind you.

So, lots and lots of stuff to do, but then again, wooohooooooo.

I am not a fan of anime in particular, but I am woefully aware of the lack of good horror, or, for that matter, "gothic" period movies. This one, at least entertaining, if obviously extremely over the top.

For a good horror flick on Halloween, I suggest checking out "Dream House" with Daniel Craig. Plenty of clichée, but still watchable.

Raf, I posted my PC investigating the stables and tried to make it all make sense, given the recent IC activity and speech of PCs and the information in your latest update.

I'm assuming that Xavril and I can bust the door from the inside. It's only a stables, after all.

Disable device to break/pull the hinges:

And as much brute force as both of us need to just bust it down, assisted by my mule and some rope if need be.

That's all assuming it doesn't just open from the inisde, and that there is no other way out, like a side door or back door.Yes, I have a lantern.

Check with Steve, but my PC intends to leave post haste. He is not waiting for the other PCs, as they are not in his party--only the gnome is.

Mindful of Raf's admonsition about free storytelling, I have seperated my post in two halves. The second half is what my guy does if and when he gets the mule out of the stables.
That shouldn't be hard, given Xavril's help and the fact he's already got a way inside through the window. Raf';s recent update post assumes that we get inside, I note. Disable device on the hinges was 17+7= 24. I imagine that if the door unlocks and opens from the inside, I don't even need to roll. I'm trying to allow for various possibilities. I'll edit as needed.

Anyhoo, I will probably not respond to any IC posts until after Raf updates again.

I think Ewan's picture of the layout outside the inn is different from mine. It shouldn't be too hard to hear the argument between Caitlin and Varian since I am supposed to be staying near Caitlin to protect her as promised.

On the other hand, if the stables for this inn are actually really far from the inn (which seems unlikely) let me know. I can change my picture. For the record, Nicodemus promised to protect Caitlin so he won't be too far from her at any given time unless she specifically asks for privacy.

I just figured that since the stables were close enough for Varian to automatically notice Caitlin when she walked out and Varian ran over to Caitlin to talk to her, then the conversation wouldn't be taking place too far away.

I set up a post. Trying to keep the main part of us together as long as possible and suggesting things that may incent the two to stay, if that horse was a rider going out of town, and a flaming horse is all that comes back.... o.O'

I now read that you have a latern though so my post may not make too much sense now. No time to edit however for I am at work. (I though darkness might have been causing the silence....)

It might be good to ask Ewan and Tarlyn OOC before we follow them out of town. I'd hate to continue dragging them back into the scene with RP if they are trying to get out of it.
