Noted.

Of course, he did notice something behind him, didn't he?

Are there any penalties for using 2 daggers? If is as 3rd and will have -4 penalty at HR then will use only one.

The toymaker has turned the light on or we fight in the dark? Because this is convenient for Filbert that has low light.

He's holding a glowing/lit lantern in his off hand.

Next round, fight at Toyman's place-

Baubb

Init:

[dice]0[/dice]

EDIt-

Looks like Varrus signed off.

I'll roll init for your side, to keep things moving. Baubb is likely to win with such a low roll.

[dice]1[/dice]

Close! I'm going to compare DEX scores and speed factors...

Since I'm using simple initiative rules, Baubb goes first...but, Filbert can leap at him an try to catch or attack him before he can make good his escape.

Varrus may fire a single quick shot, if he likes. No time for a second shot this round. -2 to hit from various modifiers ( melee, visibility, range) The good news is that he can try to shoot over the hobbit, so he won't hit Filbert unless he rolls a natural one.

I'll roll Baubb's lantern attack, and then Varrus an Van may post whatever attacks or actions they please-- with the notes above taken into account.

Hurling the lantern:

[dice]0[/dice]

No problem, even before DEX bonus.

Item saving throw (to see if it really blows up/shatters bigtime and splashes a lot)

[dice]1[/dice]

Shattered/splashes...

Dragon breath save for Filbert (I'm giving him one because flaming oil is usually a two stage attack-- soak and then light. He suffered a direct hit, but he can try to tear off some clothing , roll on the floor, smother the flames, , etc. He's not totally soaked, just splashed. )

[dice]2[/dice]

That's a failure.

Full damage taken.

[dice]3[/dice]

Update-- Filbert has taken a grand total of 11 points since the fight began. He is now on fire and will take damage next round (unless he gives up going after the toyman and instead douses himself/smothers the flames) before the flames burn out.

I will now hold action on the Auld Oak scene, giving Adam and Skybolt a chance to catch up and post.

Varrus, is your dude still trying to batter down the door?
If so, you get another roll.

If he's doing something else, let me know. No target in sight now.
