Sara realizes soon enough that she needs a torch to actually see what is in the cave and since she doesn't want to light one for not betraying her posiition she goes back.

"It's very dark in the cave and coiuldn't see anything without a torch. So I think it's better if we all enter together at this point."

Professor Aumnoir takes a moment to ready his lantern. Once prepared he dismounts his horse and asks the others, "Any suggestions on where we can tether our beasts while we investigate?"

''Well, the forest is full of trees. I say we tie them to some trees not far from the cave mouth. If we find a place with water, that's even better."

Turning to the hired man, Al, she asks-

"Al, would you mind staying and watching the horses and mules? We need someone like you, stalwart and reliable, to mind the beasts. I'll pay you a silver piece if they are fed, watered, and rested when we come back. "

"This can be an idea, but she needs to try to move as silent as possible because if there are enemies in cave they can hear her coming and they can hide or regroup to fight us. So we need to be ready to enter soon after her peeking."

"Well I will move as silently as possible, but I imagine we have made enough noise with the horses and talk. I don't know how stealthy we need to be. Besides, the moaning should cover my clanking."

Isidar walks up to the cave mouth, mumbling "I would rather make noise and alert the norogh than to face them without my armor on. What danger could a cave have for a dwarf?"

After standing in the cave mouth and looking around, Isidar turns back to her companions and describes her experience.

The cave entrance to the cave is about 10 feet wide . With her vision she sees that the passage beyond the entrance slopes downward after about 20 feet .

"So it seems that the wailing we are hearing is just air rushing past this hole in the rock"

Dalorna turns to the others.

''Well, shall we go inside the cave? We should proceeed with caution, of course, lest we run afoul of a sinkhole or some other hazard. If something intelligent, like the monkey-men, lives down there, there may even be traps."

Alia looks momentarily disappointed as the source of the wailing is revealed, but looks more hopeful as Dalorna decides to continue. Perhaps there will be song-worthy incidents below

"Yes, let us investigate further. Perhaps the whistling rock has found it's way at the roof of the cave entrance on purpose. Perhaps there is something here that wishes not to be found. Let us proceed with caution."
