Update 2: Our cast of PCs, in order of joining, with their chosen classes as I am aware of them so far:
Baron Zamedi -- Paul Bentley -- Monk 2 -- character sheet completed: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.p ... tid=124137
The Giamarga -- name unknown -- class unknown -- no character sheet submitted yet
Marcon -- Samuel Pontbriand -- Bard 2 -- character sheet completed: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.p ... tid=125183
InVinoVeritas -- 'the great swami Ranjan' -- Spellthief 1/Wu Jen 1 -- character sheet completed: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.p ... tid=124460
Igor the Henchman -- name unknown -- class unknown -- no character sheet submitted yet
Looks like we have an arcane expert/striker, an unarmed combat expert, and a diplomat/jack of all trades character ready to go. (My mistake about Baron Zamedi's character. ^^;

I seem to recall that a Spellthief can drain a spell from a friendly target by a non-attacking touch, but in the case of striking an enemy ... I'm going to rule no unless someone corrects me with actual rules. Let's say that a special kind of concentration or mental technique is required to drain a spell, which can only be achieved by the kind of focus on your target which is also beneficial to performing a sneak attack. [/blather]InVinoVeritas wrote:I've been thinking about how touch attacks would work with the steal spell ability. I.e. if you choose to forgo the 1d6 sneak attack damage anyway, would hitting with a touch attack qualify for stealing a spell?
I believe sneak attacks against undead become possible if you have Deathstrike Bracers, though I'm not entirely sure of it.InVinoVeritas wrote:Oddly enough, the only ranged touch attack available to the wu jen at first level is Ray of Frost... okay, there's Disrupt Undead as well, but can you use a sneak attack against them to steal a spell?

Looks good, looks good ... Can you pm me her background, please, or add it to the char sheet?Igor the Henchman wrote:Here's mine, if that's OK: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.p ... tid=125301

I adjusted my sheet a little when I noticed we get maximum Gold instead of average.
So, do I understand we need to roll our second Hit Die and send the result to you? Also, is the background public? I didn't think the character sheets would be shared in case someone wanted to be Evil and go unnoticed but since other players already get to know our traits/flaws/personality, should we post the background as well so it makes more sense?

Here's my PC sheet, still a work in progress: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.p ... tid=125288 (He's a slightly disheveled young noble, with some fencing lessons under his belt and a family heirloom rapier.)
So do any of our PCs know each other? Igor mind if you are a traveling companion and/or hired bodyguard for my young noble ?

No, I'll trust you to be honest with your die rolls during this campaign. Just add the result of the second roll to your HD total. Of course, if someone starts to have a consecutive streak of maximum rolls, I might get a weeee bit suspicious.Marcon wrote:ISo, do I understand we need to roll our second Hit Die and send the result to you?
You're free to post your background as you choose. ^^ But let me ask you this: how do you know I haven't got a secrecy agreement with the people who want to play evil characters? What you see is the char sheet that is open to the general public ... Don't assume everything you read is the truth, my friend. *snickers*Marcon wrote: Also, is the background public? If you guys already want to know each other, I am perfectly fine with that. ^^ Just make sure you've got your stories straight. The Giamarga wrote:So do any of our PCs know each other? Igor mind if you are a traveling companion and/or hired bodyguard for my young noble ?

I'm looking to get in on an online game right now. Do you have space for one more?
Here are some character options I'd like to try out, if you'll have me:
A Pure Archivist (HoH, pg. 82)
Martial Rogue (preferred)
Multiclass Wiz/Sorc aspiring to become an Ultimate Magus (CMa, pg. 77)
Muliclass Cleric/Sorc aspiring to become a Mystic Theurge

I think I can fit two more people without trouble.
Pale, if you want to join in, please show me a character concept, i.e.: suggested sheet & backstory.
Twin dragons: Everything except for the martial Rogue is fine with me. Same thing applies for you as for Pale: suggested character sheet & backstory.
Please remember that I prefer all sheets to be put up on the myth-weavers site. It's an excellent piece of software, which allows you to make changes as you level. At the current stage of the game, your characters will be level 2.
