Personally, for my 4e games I'm running Ravenloft much as it was in 3e. The only difference is that I've moved it into the shadowfell in order to accomadate the end of the Great Wheel. It still is its own demiplane, and it doesn't have any more emphasis on "weekends in hell." (With one cav...

LOL Yeah, I'd definitely tell them to ignore the characters and just look at the architecture etc. After all, that picture would be one of the nicer areas of the city. As anyone who's read my stuff knows, tieflings and dragonborn (yes a few have probably made it into the city across planar boundarie...

I've been gaming wth most of them in different games for the last 2 years, just the first time I'll have run for them as a group. Half of hte group tends to be very self motivated and story/character driven. The other half is mostly RPGA min/maxing ROLLplayers, so it should be intersting to say the ...

Ok. It's not a particularly big deal at the moment (for my campaign at least,) as I'm starting the party off at 5th level.

One thing I noticed while reading over the Mist Pact: is there a paragon path associated? I may have missed it but it appears to not exist, which could be a problem for a MistLock, once they hit level 11.

Will do. I'm reading over it now as I update all my Monte Mal stuff to 4e. (Yes this means that a new, expanded edition of the Monte Mal Netbook is on its way eventually.)

Jester, you are a life-saver, as my group is wanting me to run a Ravenloft game, but they refuse to play any edition but 4th now. (I think they're addicted to the action movie feel lol.)

My new campaign. Suggestions appreciated.

I'm going to be starting a new campaign soon with a group that is fairly new to Ravenloft. After wrestling with what kind of plot to throw at them (and realizing that I have too many different player styles to come up with one plot that would satisfy them all), I decided on something a bit unusual. ...

I've been pondering the best way to convert Ravenloft over to 4e for a while now, and may steal a couple ideas from this thread. I agree that if we're going to see a 4e Ravenloft that stays true to our beloved setting we need to step up ourselves, as I don't know that the current 4e writers are up t...

I'm going to have to cast my vote for King Croc. He really just doesn't seem compelling as a darklord to me at all. Perhaps someone could flesh him out to be a bit more interesting?

Changeling: the Lost is one of the only NWoD I haven't gotten to look at yet. I'll be writing up full reviews of Werewolf: the Forsaken and Mage: the Awakening soon though.

Granted, but it's all in a new currency that no nation on earth will actually accept as payment for anything. (It's not a legal thing, just practicality issues)

I wish it weren't so cold here.

The other thing I love about Unisystem is that it's easy to homebrew in. Balance is easier to achieve on any critters you intend to send against hte party, rather than having to eyeball CR.

Granted, but as soon as your eyesight improves, all sources of light, everywhere, disappear. As a result your vision is useless.

I wish I could finally get caught up on all my reading for class.
