Re: Digital horrors
That's an easy one.
A group of ghostly Vikings appear and start singing. Roll a madness check.
A small benefit however, is that while the Vikings are singing, the PC's affected are immune to powers checks.
The DP's are wise enough to know not to engage with spam.

Re: Wraith Spider
I do not think it was ever converted to 3e stats? Does it ring a bell to anyone?
From the Wiki it they appear to have been converted in 3e "City of the Spider Queen". They appear to have switched out the Con drain with a Str, and dropped the level drain completely.
I don't have the book, but I ...

Re: Planning for my campaign, Servants of Darkness sidequest
I have 5 sessions journals waiting to be put on the site, of which the start of SoD (played yesterday, covering the Viktal interactions), but I have a little bug logging to the FTP server, which I hope is temporary. I’ll let you know when it is online.
And time to start reading, but first ...

Re: Planning for my campaign, Servants of Darkness sidequest
So we will be resuming SoD tomorrow.
Damn, I've missed a bit it seems during my absence. :(
Ah well, time to catch up.
Tora has a great attachment to his family (but has not given / had news for 10 years because he was in Darkon without remembering his background - due to the memory change. So ...

Re: First debate of 2025 - AI image or not ?
These threads can indeed get quite nasty, so I'm appreciative that so far things have been handled in a civil manner.
Something else I appreciaite about FOS.

Re: First debate of 2025 - AI image or not ?
I fall vaguely on the yes side and play around with AI on and off.
However, I also know that 'discussions' about the subject can get very nasty very quickly, so I can see the need to try and walk a tightrope here.
Anyways....
I like what you put out Joël in regards to the prompt being put in as ...

Re: How can a Necromancer transport dozens of corpses?
However, the more magic you use, the greater the chance someone unpleasant will pick up on what you're doing.
Well, it depends on what sort of magic you use. Assuming no 'TARDIS tech' - teleporting, bags of holding, 'bigger on the inside stuff', etc....
Englarge/Reduce spell - Stuff the ...

Re: One inevitable event in the Time of Unparalleled Darkness
The writers involved have mentioned that they had few concrete plans for the ToUD, except that many things in the Demiplane would worsen. I just wanted to contribute that one of the most cataclysmic events which could ever occur in Ravenloft would be the shattering of the Deathstone, the Boristi ...

Re: Rules for charging into the Mists?
"Domains of Dread" provides no information on what happens when heroes new to Ravenloft venture into the Mists surrounding the Core. Did one of the previous rules books say what to do in that situation? How long are they likely to be in there and can they retrace their steps or not?
A little ...

Re: Prisoners of H'rakizuhm?
So far the only solution I've come up with is Ancient Dead inmates. Can you guys think of any other beings who can plausibly populate H'rakizuhm?
Steal Demonreach from the Dresden files and you could put anything in there. :gabrielle:
'H'rakizuhm' is the jail, _not_ the actual cells. The cells ...

No interrupts for spell like abilities in 2E :gabrielle:
And they have a +3 initiative modifier 'casting time'.

And yes, we passed the 100 sessions milestone!
Congrats.
Did you get a congratulations message from the King for hitting 100? :azalin:
Still, it seems now the PC's have to deal with Four hungry vampires, a demon, some angry Falkies, and Nebta-Khufre ready to backstab them. Though can the ...
