Urtica

Urtica is a character that first appears at the very end of the Chibiloft comics in Quoth the Raven Issue 30.

Background

At this point, little is known of Urtica's background, save that she identified Chibiloft Crewmember Doctor Bill as her husband. Her appearance suggests that she is somehow made of wood, and she was able to hide by blending completely into the mast(s) of the ship Dead Reckoning.

Speculations

• Although nothing is certain, it is possibly that Urtica had allied herself with Arcael, D'Vaal, the Levkarest Lycanthrope and the Toothless Nosferatu. Certainly, she betrayed her presence at the same time they did.

• Doctor Bill's utter dismay at seeing Urtica in the Demiplane of Dread, combined with a minor artwork of Urtica parting the Mists, suggest he had actually been trying to escape her when he went through the portal that brought him to the Demiplane.

• Urtica appeared to be addressing the Fraternity of Shadows, congratulating them on the 30th issue of Quoth the Raven, which suggests she possesses some level of meta-awareness.
