Toy nightmares are hoppy horses originally created by Guiseppe and subsequently each transformed by influence of Maligno into a token of a nightmare. When the shaft of a toy nightmare is planted in the ground at midnight a nightmare takes is places to serve for 13 days and nights before turning on its "master".
