Thomas Edison, the famous inventor of many devices such as the phonograph, is a high-ranking member of the Brotherhood of Alchemae, having constructing a great many machines to assist in their cause. He may be Gothic Earth's foremost expert on how magic and technology might interact.[1]

Although recognized as a great mind, Thomas Edison is not without sin. His use of Nikola Tesla's Alternating Current for the execution of William Kemmler has caused the latter to rise as a revenant and seek his demise.[2]
