The necklace worn by the Whispering Beast consisted of black steel from which thirteen severed ears dangled from.[1] With it, he could, by talking into the ears, whisper to his wards, oathbreakers afflicted by the madness of his whispers, to command them. In practical terms, this meant effectively implanting geases into their heads.[2] Alternatively, he could alleviate the mad of their madness.
The necklace can also be used to communicate with any person afflicted with madness, not merely Oathbreakers.[2]
