The Veiled Mistress (Another Hundred Shades of Dark)

The Veiled Mistress was a medusa witch-queen whose cruelty and predilection towards animating her petrified victims into living statue minions earned her the title of darklord. Now she no longer petrifies humanoids by sight but rather is petrified by the sight of humans. She dreads this possibility and now takes steps to live behind a series of veils and avoid their glance. Fortunately, she may petrify any person in her domain by invoking their name.
