The Kelpie

A particularly strong and long-lived variety of kelpie, The Kelpie resides near Maiden Point in Liffe. It preys upon the unwary using its spell-like abilities to beguile them to come to towards the Maiden sculpture and its lair beneath the rocky outcropping with an illusion of a beautiful maiden put upon the Maiden sculpture of Maiden Point. It typically disguises itself as a shepherd to laud the Maiden's miraculous powers. It preys quite effectively on the grieving.

The Kelpie's evil may have turned Maiden's Point into a sinkhole of evil. It may also have a curse that prevents it from physically assaulting its victims.
