The Icon of Ezra is an ancient stained glass icon of the goddess Ezra's image at Ste. Mere des Larmes (and the only still extant stained glass window at said cathedral. It is also a relic sacred to the Church of Ezra. In addition to the usual powers of a relic, the Icon can cast heal once per week upon a supplicant Ezra deems worthy. However, disease, blindness, or other maladies are held inside the Icon, ready to be afflicted upon the unworthy supplicant. In fact, the Icon only has a limited amount of afflictions it can store before being unable to cast heal until the afflictions are released. The Icon represents a major draw for people from near and far to visit Ste. Meres des Larmes in the face of an otherwise introverted Dementlieuse Sect.[1] It was this window that first inspired Joan Secousse to investigate the grounds of Ste. Mere des Larmes in 709 BC.[2]
The Icon of Ezra should not be confused with Danzig's Icon of Ezra.
