The Grim Fastness lies in Old Il Aluk at the the heart of Necropolis. It was formerly the headquarters of the Kargat. It was destroyed in by the Requiem. It has been rebuilt on the order of Death.[1] It clocks in as a rank 4 sinkhole of evil.[2]
There is a complex of caverns beneath the Grim Fastness, filled with the living dead and other creatures of darkness. Within those caverns lies the Black Vault, allegedly filled with arcane treasures collected by Azalin Rex. [3]
