Template talk:Dombox

"Always a single darklord" isn't exactly true, including your example. Ivan and Ivana are co-darklords, according to all sources I know of. Also, the Nightmare Court and the Three Hags of Tepest share darklordship. (And that's just the canon ones. Lots of non-canon domains seem to like going the multi-darklord route). The template should be able to handle these cases without forcing us to refer to the co-darklords by a group name. (It might make sense to use the group name for the Nightmare Court or even the three hags, but I think most people expect to see "Ivan Dilisyna and Ivana Boritsi" as darklords of Borca, not "The Dark Twins") -- Gonzoron 14:13, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

I myself don't know a way to handle multiple links in one entry. Darn. I suppose I'll just have to remove the link envelope (that is, it just has [[ and ]] wrapped around the darklord entry). For someone reason I had thought I'd read that there was only 1 darklord per domain. Oopsie. --Nerit 01:37, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Eh.. not a big deal, really. If people can add [[ and ]] around names in article text, they can do the same in the dombox arguments, no? We've already used more keystrokes discussing it than will ever be used doing it. ;) --Gonzoron 02:48, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Beyond Cultural Level

Presumably CL won't be the only wiki-link in that list. If someone makes an ecology section, will the template automatically link to it? What about domains that got the template before the change? Will it add to them retroactively? If not, we better get basic pages up for all of those ASAP, to avoid as much backtracking as possible.

Templates are always refreshed to the latest version with every page load, so no need to worry about older pages not getting updated. But links are never added automatically. If you think ecology, religions, etc. will eventually have wiki pages, why not add the links now and let them be redlinks until someone fills them in? --Gonzoron 02:48, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Done, at least with some. I don't know if Climate & Terrain will ever have its own page, but Ecology ought to, and Darklord already is. DeepShadow 03:46, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Added some more stuff

I put in the related categories portion to have a standard way to link those categories. Feel free to add more if they make sense. I also put in nationality, so we can link Darkon to Darkonian, since it's not a straightforward mapping like "___ of Darkon". -- Gonzoron 12:43, 28 March 2013 (MDT)
