Why is it a Pocket Domain? Shouldn't it be an Island of Terror?

I think the idea is that a pocket domain can intrude on another domain. Since the NL can intrude in the dreams of people in other domains, it qualifies as a pocket, though since you can get there through the mists, I'd call it an IoT as well. It's an odd duck. -- Gonzoron 01:48, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Thinking about it, I still have my doubts. A dreamer tormented by the Nightmare Court does not get full access to the Nightmare Lands, he is stuck in his dream within a bubble in the Ring of Dreams. Just because the Godbrain and reach out and touch psions begun Bluetspur, doesn't make it a pocket domain. I think this is a fossil, and a dubious one, of the voyage from Egertus to the Nightmare Lands over the Mist cloaked Nocturnal Sea.Cure 03:48, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

OK, I figured it out. In brief, you're right. I checked all the sources on the domain since it broke off from the core. The Red Box says it's an IoT. The Nightmare Lands box says IoT. But Domains of Dread says Pocket. The justification they use is that it floats through the misty border, but sometimes appears in the Nocturnal Sea, as you said. On the one hand, it seems to me that it could just be an IoT, and anyone fining it in the Nocturnal Sea just sailed into the Misty Border, and there it was, like any IoT. But on the other, Domains of Dread is the last known canon reference to the domain, and it says "pocket." Our policy is to go with canon, though we can include a note saying that this is questionable. I'll do so. -- Gonzoron 20:55, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
