Talk:Nightblight
As I understand it, this is the flower George used in the BoSorrows intro. The description fits: it grows only in remote parts of Kartakass, repels wolves and related creatures, and is very fragile. This is likewise consistent with the original description of the flower from Feast of Goblyns. What makes you think it's different?DeepShadow 17:13, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Just checked: the flower George used is called Nightbane Bloom, and it's blue and white. Sounds to me like the same thing.DeepShadow 17:33, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
And rechecking the description of Nightblight in Gaz1, it's also blue and white, and the boxed text says that the stench decreases with each passing day, just like in the BoS framing fiction.DeepShadow 18:27, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Sounds like the same thing to me. Give it an alias, I would say.. --Gonzoron 18:36, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
You are right, it is nightblight by the look of it. I failed to make that connection, despite the reference to Kartakass in the original tale. The fact that I had no idea of what wolfsbane looked like did not help, in particular the flower part throwing me for a loop. It might be good in the description of the herb itself to add that it has and/or consists of a blue-white flower. And the source is framing fiction from the Book of Sorrows, p 8-11. --cure
