Suppuration

The Suppuration is the infection by which the Marasmos spreads its evil essence to control, corrupt, and ultimately kill its victims. The disease operates much like transposition but can be spread but with a mere glancing touch to any living, sentient creature. The Cult of Suppuration exists to spread the demon's vile contagion, infecting all it comes across. The Pure and the Innocent, those who've never taken an action to warrant a Powers Check, are the only ones immune to the Suppuration's taint.

Hosts whose infection has progressed far enough die, spawning alkiolytes. As long as any host with any degree of Suppuration infection exists, the Marasmos may act as if it had a phylactery, rebuilding its mass by combining a sufficient number of alkiolytes
