County of Staunton

The County of Staunton was ruled by Count Rupert Bleysmith and was part of the Kingdom of Mourette. The county was conquered by the Duchy of Avergne thanks to the jealousy motivated treachery of his son Sir Torrence Bleysmith. Subsequently, Sir Torrence used black magic to drive the Stauntonians forward in a surprise counterattack that caused the annihilation of the entire population of the county of Staunton by the invading Avergnites. Sir Torrence hung himself in consequence. The Dark Powers responded by bequeathing darklordship upon the ghost of Sir Torrence. And the County of Staunton was reborn as the domain of Staunton Bluffs with the Avengnites as its new residents.
