The unnamed wife of Soldest is a character from the short story Tales of Ravenloft: The Wailing.
Biography
Soldest is a Darkonian merchant of some wealth and influence but little character. He cheated on his wife and seduced the Vistani named Asha. Soldest abandoned Asha, leaving her pregnant. After she gave birth to her son, Soldest sent in his lackeys to seize the child. Asha fought to keep her child, but she was killed and the baby taken. Despite it not being her child, Soldest's wife wished to raise the boy as her own. However, Aliza refused to believe this and kidnapped the child, taking the boy to Keening. Soldest's wife called upon George Weathermay to save the boy, and he gave chase.
George Weathermay returned the child to Soldest's wife. Ashamed of her husband's dark deeds, she nonetheless raises Asha's child as her own. As of the end of the Wailing, the child is healthy and happy. Weathermay visits them from time to time.
