Sir Edmond Continere

Sir Edmond Continere is the darklord of the Isle of Desidia, one of the Seven Islands of Sin. A slothful and selfish plantation owner, he fulfills his own conveniences, indulgences, and addictions at the cost of everyone around him, whether it be his slaves, employees, or even family.

Sir Edmond is rather apathetic in ruling his island so long as the somma crops keep coming. He is as (or even more so) addicted to his drug as anyone else is. However, with the aid of his somma drug-making machine, Sir Edmond has complete control over the dispensation of the drug made from the crop. This is how Sir Edmond retains control over the island, for he refuses the drug to those that displease him. If attacked, Sir Edmond can exude a noxious cloud of poison gas that creates a strong addiction to the somma drug, rendering its victims helpless.

Sir Edmond Continere cannot, or at least does not, close the borders of his domain. In fact, he must concentrate to keep the domain's borders open for those trying to leave the domain. This allows individuals to leave the Isle via a reformed Bridge of Desidia that hangs over the black sludge surrounding Desidia.
