The Saeculum Arcanae ("Arcane Age" or "Age of Secrets") was an early period of Darkon's false history. During this time, Darkon was a wild and wooly place sparsely populated by villages and the towers of loner wizards. The end of this era came in 383 BC with the rise to power of Darcalus Rex. In his rise to power, he is said to have massacred his enemies (and potential enemies.)[1]
