Raul Salazar is a Vistani blacksmith of the Kamii tribe. He is the father of Nikko Salazar and husband of Leyla Salazar.[1] Following Leyla's death, Raul fell into a pattern of mourning by playing the Violin of Passion.[2] The emotional trauma felt over Leyla's death, combined with the mournful music played on the violin[3], made Leyla rise again as a ghost to haunt both her husband and son.[2]
Raul Salazar helped to build the Sphere of Binding.[4]
