Prince Ladislav Mircea

Prince Ladislav Mircea is the darklord of Sanguinia and a vampire, specifically a Vrykolaka Vampire who drains humors (black bile, phlegm, yellow bile) and emotions in addition to blood. He resides in Castle Guirgiu.

Background

A handsome but arrogant and self-centered man in life, Prince Ladislav Mircea withdrew to his castle and forsook his people when a plague hit the land. There with his closest cronies, Mircea enjoyed his wealth and opulence while many outside perished. After the disease got into the castle, Mircea ordered his servants to toss those afflicted with disease over Castle Guirgiu's walls. Yet when he himself became infected, he did not suffer the same fate but instead delved into alchemy and the study of bodily humors. Futilely, he turned on the healthy among his associates and drained their blood in an effort to gain new health. Disease claimed Mircea's life nonetheless, but he rose again as a vrykolaka. Mircea fully retained his mental faculties although not his looks.

Current Sketch

Whereas he sought a way to rid remove his plague when alive, Mircea lingers in his castle researching a means to end his undeath.
