Geography
Nedragonne is an island domain located on the northern side of the Nocturnal Sea. It runs 150 miles from north to south and 75 miles from east to west. Nedragonne's geography is diverse. It features beaches dotted with rocks and black sand, temperate grasslands, verdant evergreen forests, and mountains capped by snow-covered summits.[1]
The island lies west off the shore of Vechor and is often covered by the Misty Border. It is said that the waters surrounding Nedragonne are especially dangerous, fill with predators both natural and unnatural.[5]
Communities in Nedraggone include[1]:
- The Capital, Tenebria, located in the Caliginar Mountains 30 some miles from the eastern shore
- Towns:
- Coastal villages (southwestern part of the domain):
Society and Culture
The Nedragonni are a diligent people who value self-sufficiency. Though trade between the communities of the domain are important, they distrust foreigners and tend to give them a wide berth. This behavior comes from the Nedragonnia value of minding one's own business.[6] Ironically, this inward self-reliance and distrust towards foreigners has enabled the various diverse communities to come together and function interdependently while still remaining politically independent settlements.[2]
Nedragonni society is marked by a relative dearth of class divisions, racial strife, or other internal sources of prejudice or discrimination. Such concepts are alien to the people of this island. This is different when it comes to foreigners, whom are clearly labelled as a different kind of people and shunned.[6]
