In the lower reaches of the Yahasha Mountains in remote northwestern Sri Raji stands the village of Nanjivaram. Nanjivaram is famous across Sri Raji for the excellent quality of its silk. Because the Nanjivarami are protective of their techniques and their silkworms, they do not trust visitors to their village. Instead they prefer to travel to Pakat via the Bahkuku River or else trade with the Easties at the Chatra of the Crossroads.[1]
