Marikoth is the fiend which the Cult of Marikoth is dedicated to. One of his greatest servants, Dargen Blackborn is the darklord of Agonia. Marikoth has his own pocket domain called the Cairn, which has somehow hooked itself onto Agonia. Dargen enacts the Summoning ritual each year to try to bring forth Marikoth, but it never has worked and never will work.[1] Marikoth has no cognizance of his protegé's plans, but he is enjoying seeing the pain that Blackborn is causing.[1]
Marikoth is a fiend, but exactly what type (or indeed, his true nature) is not known. The Cairn is rocky wasteland surrounding Marikoth's fortress. Hordlings swarm the place and are the only ones thus far to have escaped via the Summoning. Dargen usually destroys any and all hordlings that come through.[2]
