Although labeled a troublesome and malignant heretic and witch by the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, the old and disfigured but cheerful woman known as Mama Dona is actually friendly and benevolent towards those who need healing or other beneficial magic. However, she has little patience with men and feels hostility toward the Church. Mama Dona lives on the periphery of Rio de Lagrimas.[1]
