A story told by Miss Wellbue to the guests at the private auction at Eldron Manor, allegedly told to her by the niece of a woman named Lyrian, after Lyrian committed suicide in Heimler Sanitarium. According to the story, Lyrian was the wife of a man named Roberto whom was twice as old as Lyrian was. Although Lyrian did her best to convince Roberto age didn't matter, he nonetheless obsessed over his advancing age and performed countless routines to slow the aging process or at least conceal it, often spending long hours preening in front of a mirror. Yet with Lyrian's unwavering patience and repeated acts of dedicated love, Roberto's failing health and vitality seemed to grow brighter and more youthful. But the mirror she hated remained a stark symbol of his distraction from reciprocating her love- she broke it in an effort to free him. Unknown to her, Roberto had some sort of magical connection with the mirror, and he broke into pieces along with the mirror[1].
