Lugdana

In the continuity of the standalone reboot of I6 for 3rd Edition known as Expedition to Castle Ravenloft (which stands apart from any continuity of the Demiplane of Dread or the Ravenloft campaign setting), Lugdana is a figure of legend associated with the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind. She was a paladin that used the icon to perform many deeds of good, such as dispatching a group of vampires and thus creating their associated animosity towards it to this day. After a cult of witches summoned Chernovog from the Abyss, Lugdana used the Icon to force the demon lord back to its home plane but at the cost of her own life.
