Lorelei's Boowray

An unnamed boowray serves as the primary antagonist through the majority of the Servants of Darkness adventure by instigating a witch hunt through the manipulation of Lorelei against her best friend Bryonna. Although the Boowray enjoys the possibilities of corrupting Lorelei[1], it is but a minion serving the agenda of Prince Loht in a complicated scheme to gain the Eye of Vhaeraun.[2]
Background
When Lorelei betrayed her best friend Bryonna in order to gain back the love of Ivan D'Ogmai, she attracted the dread attention of an (unnamed) boowray. Although Lorelei failed to convince Ivan that Bryonna was a witch, the boowray assisted and manipulated Lorelei in convincing the townspeople of Viktal.[1] The deceived including Lorelei's father and leader of the Tepestani Inquisition, Wyan of Viktal.
The exact degree to which the boowray exploited and beguiled Lorelei is uncertain. Although the creature did poison Lorelei to repeatedly induce fits and seizures[1], Lorelei was no mere victim but instead a quisling. Indeed, she cried for the boowray's return after their collaboration was discovered and the boowray abandoned her.[3]
