Lord Gareff Harrowing is a character form the short story Tales of Ravenloft: The House of a Hundred Windows. He is a noble lord of Darkon and the husband of Clarisse Harrowing. They reside in the Evenore estate two weeks away from Il Aluk.[1] Domenic is his archenemy, though they are both currently trapped together in a mystical prison within Evenore.[2]
Background
Before he had married Clarisse, Lord Gareff trapped his nemesis Domenic inside a mystical prison within Evenore.[3] Some time later, Lord Gareff and Clarisse were wed at his behest in Il Aluk. Clarisse objected to the marriage, but her concerns were tossed aside. Gareff took her back to Evenore, where she lived as a virtual prisoner.[4]
In order to achieve liberation from Lord Harrowing, she entreated with and eventually liberated Domenic. However, he was as oppressive a a lover as Lord Harrowing a husband. When both men became involved in mortal combat, they both called for Clarisse's support. She refused both and sealed them away in an otherworldly prison.[5]
