The Linden Clan is a human clan that originates from the Washington DC region of the Divided States. The family fled the region sometime after the Big Boom, when a nuclear strike vaporized most of the city, and what remained became a war zone between cultists and mutants.
Background
It is not known whether the Linden clan were cultists themselves, but by the time the Linden clan fled the region they had already become cannibals due to the scarcity of resources in the region. Sadly, the family did not stop dining on their fellow man after moving away from Washington. Nowadays, the Linden Clan has a habit of setting up what appear to be camp sites, rest stops and hotels for weary travelers. While these seem to offer safe haven in a dangerous land, the clan first investigates who among their visitors is likely to be missed, then kills and devours those who will not.
Internal Relations
In spite of their inhumanity towards fellow humans, the Linden clan at least appeared to have internal cohesion; family members and spouses were expected to be loyal to each other, and the young should follow the lead of the old - unless these proved to be too weak to lead effectively and/or threatened the Linden clan's cannibalistic lifestyle.
Trivia
At least one group of Linden clan members appeared to be familiar with - and fearful of - the domain's Darklord. This was justified, as the Dark One clearly holds the clan in contempt.
