Lightless Wood

The Lightless Wood is the name for the swamps and forests located on the southeastern part of Mordent. The terrain is damp and mushy, proceeding to become more so as the Wood gives to the Gray Heathlands The fell within the domain of the Gauldamons. It was consequently tainted by centuries of demonic rituals. Hardwood trees grow toward the exterior, but the vegetation becomes denser and yet shorter until the area becomes enveloped in a low, virtually impassable cover of vines, bushes, and short trees. Here is the only native home for the wraithroot.
