Kiris Aldaal

Kiris Aldaal is a Loa of the domain Raba in the Wartorn Cluster. She belongs to the tribe of the Loa Mutasawil, being a spirit who was once worshipped in North-Raba before the Church forbade her worship there. In the mythology of Raba, she fled southward along with the other Loa Mutasawil and tried to find new territory or refuge there, only to wind up a landless wanderer.

Before she was banished from the north, Kiris Aldaal was a Loa of beauty and the arts, who mostly inspired artists to make ever more and more flattering depictions of herself. She is still extremely vain, and tries to seduce mortals into worshipping her, offering dreams and visions of delight. Unfortunately, she faces stiff competition from other Loa with similar portfolios who are already well-entrenched in South-Raba, or have claimed or purchased territory that might have suited her. As such, she has declared herself the nemesis of M'selle Merçi in the coastal regions - an unwise move, as the spiteful trickster is much better at conflict - and of Vèvert in the riverlands - an enmity that the other Loa has ignored as beneath her notice.

Appearance

Kiris Aldaal is depicted as a woman who was once delicate and beautiful, but has now had all the softness baked out of her by the merciless sun and by long miles of hunger. She still acts as a coquettish temptress, but she is thin to the edge of looking emaciated. Her eyes looking unpleasantly large as they stare from her gaunt face. Her once long hair has been trimmed back to the point of looking boyish, according to some myths by the hands of M'selle Merçi. Kiris Aldaal is shown wandering barefoot, dressed in worn rags, but still carries herself as a grand lady.
