King Harold Magnus

King Harold Magnus is the king and darklord of the chilly and isolated Isle of the Winds. Before assuming those mantles, he performed many an evil deed to raise his family and noble house to royalty. Now his bloodline suffers a curse, requiring the sacrifice of one their number per year, lest the Isle be swallowed by the sea. The sacrificed may rise again as undead, making the situation even bleaker. King Magnus, now an old man, lives a pitiful existence bemoaning the loss of his descendants and the situation he's in.
